This collage uses a siren from the Greek epic "The Odyssey" as well as ancient Greek pottery for inspiration. Media today often depicts sirens as beautiful mermaids singing in the ocean. The reality was that these creatures were birds with female heads, similar to an avine version of a centaur. Here I test out a less-romanticized version of the creature using the unnerving capabilities of collage.
