Hungry Flowers (2024) builds upon my screen print Flower (2023) by creating a scene in which a large mass of petaled creatures begin biting into a foot which covers much of the picture plane. The process for this piece was like a game of telephone. The original flower is pasted into the new photoshop file and altered until it becomes a new being. Then that process happens over and over until the composition is filled with unique concoctions. This way no idea in the studio needs to be permanently left behind. I can continually return to the same archetypes and try again instead of starting from scratch.
